  • Kooth and Qwell Webinar Events

    Kooth and Qwell Webinars

    Free, anonymous, digital mental health support has been commissioned by the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership and providers 'Kooth' and 'Qwell' are now available across the region for ages 10+. 

    All of their services are free across Greater Manchester, safe and anonymous for the user, allowing those in need to gain instant access to the platform where they can find:

    • Live chat support from mental health professionals
    • Moderated community support
    • Self-help tools and resources

    They are offering free webinar sessions, where you can find out more about their services. You can sign up for one of these events here

  • Easter Award Assemblies

    Award Assemblies have taken place during the last week of term before Easter for all year groups and pupils were awarded with attendance and RADI awards, Form Tutor awards, Head of Year and Assistant Head of Year awards, and subject awards. Congratulations to all pupils who received an award and keep up the good work next term!

  • Household support grant vouchers distributed WB 28th March 2022 ​​​​​​​

    Household support grant vouchers distributed WB 28th March 2022 

    Stockport Council have began distributing £45 support vouchers to vulnerable and low income families, to help towards the rising cost of living. The vouchers will arrive by post to all households in receipt of council tax support and/or housing benefit as paid by SMBC, who did not benefit from the holiday support vouchers scheme during recent school holidays.

  • 'Let's Talk T Levels' Virtual Event for Yr 9 and 10 Parents/Carers

    T Levels are new qualifications available after GCSEs – an alternative to A-Levels, apprenticeships, and other post-16 qualifications.

    Designed in conjunction with employers, they bring classroom learning together with a 45-day industry placement. They aim to plug the skills shortages currently being experienced and support routes into employment or higher education.

    T Levels are now being taught across Greater Manchester. By September 2023, over 20 different subjects will be available.

  • British Science Week

    The theme for British Science Week 2022 is Growth and takes place between 11th and 20th March. During the week beginning 14th March, we will be hosting a variety of lunchtime activities for pupils to get involved in, with prizes to be won.

    Offer Day and What Happens Next

    After National Secondary School Offer Day on 1st March, we will begin sending welcome letters to parents/carers of pupils who have received a place here at Reddish Vale. 

    There is additional information available on the Stockport Council website, including how places are allocated, which you can find here

    Please note that If you have received a Year 7 place for your child to attend Reddish Vale High School, but you wish to decline the place, you must contact Stockport Council School Admissions.

  • Spend Well Fair

    Organisations from Stockport’s Voluntary, Community, Faith-based and Social Enterprise sector have come together in partnership with Stockport Libraries to offer a one-stop shop in the form of the Spend Well Fair

    Money-saving advice can be a maze to navigate with many people not knowing where to start. The event is a chance for citizens to explore what local support is available to them from specialist advisors that can help them save money and spend wisely. 

    Specialists on hand include: 

    • Citizens Advice Stockport: advice on energy-saving, money, debt, welfare benefits, housing, employment 
    • Stockport Credit Union: accessible saving and borrowing 
    • The Pantry / Stockport Homes: low cost food 
    • Starting Point: online access, digital accessibility and more 
    • Stockport Libraries: Money maximiser tool 
    • Employment, training and careers advice 
    • Stockport Mental Health Network: mental health support in Stockport 
    • Orange Umbrella Project / OWLS: financial coercion awareness 

    Free refreshments will be available as well as colouring books to help keep children entertained. Four hours free parking is available at nearby Stopford House (as part of the council’s Saturday parking scheme). 

    The Spend Well Fair takes place on Saturday 19 March, 10am – 2pm at Stockport Central Library, Wellington Road, SK1 3RS

  • Cake with the Headteacher 04.03.22

    It was lovely to see so many of our pupils nominated for Cake with the Headteacher on 4th March 2022.  It was lovely to see some returning pupils and make use of our student common room. We are extremely proud of the pupils who were nominated by their teachers for a range of fantastic achievements, including excellent work in German lessons and Farmer of the week. We even had a Platinum RADI award winner, who received her certificate for achieving over 800 RADI points!

  • Pupil Success - Dance World Cup

    Ella North, Year 8, is a valuable member of our school community and also The Cheshire Theatre School, who have successfully secured a place in four categories at the Dance World Cup, which will take place in San Sebastian, Spain, in June 2022.
