Virtual Open Evening
Our Open Evening Event has taken place slightly differently this year due to the current situation. We have alternatively offered a Virtual School Tour, Headteacher's Welcome Message and Headteacher's Presentation, to show our prospective students and parents school life at Reddish Vale High School.
We are currently looking to appoint a new Parent Governor. In our school we have two Parent Governors and there is currently one vacancy.
The Governing Body, along with the Headteacher, Mrs Hanson, has overall responsibility of the running of the school.
School Games Programme
We are very proud to have received the following award for our commitment and achievement in the School Games Programme during the 2019-20 academic year, and including the Virtual School Games Programme during lockdown.
Dear Parents/ Carers
As we settle into our new routines and systems for a safe return to school I would like once again to praise the pupils for their cooperation and patience. It is largely down to their mature attitudes and sensible behaviour that we are able to review the model and move to the second phase of our planned return to school plan by moving the school start time to 9:00am for Year 8 & 9 from Monday 28th September. Arrangements for Year 7, 10 & 11 pupils remain the same. All being well, we intend to replace the remote learning lesson currently in operation, for Year 8 & 9, during period 1 with your child’s timetabled lesson in school. They will continue to have staggered breaks and lunchtimes and their form time will remain at the end of the day finishing at 3:00pm in order for us to safely manage movement around school and limit crossover of bubbles. Dear Parent/carer
I hope that you and your family are well.
I am writing to keep you informed of our plans for dealing with potential situations that may arise if/when a member of the school community tests positive for coronavirus. ln the event that a pupil tests positive for coronavirus, after having been in school, and may potentially have exposed other pupils to the virus, our plans will be taken directly from the government guidance for schools which may be found here https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/actions-for-schools-during-the-coronavirus-outbreak/guidance-for-full-opening-schools
Dear Parents/Carers, you will receive a notification in the coming days from a company called Salamander Soft which will invite you to Google Classroom. This is part of our automated process of making sure your child’s homework is available online and also, in the event of further disruption to learning, that you are able to see what your child is doing online in their classrooms. Please can you accept the invite. If you have any questions, please email googleclassroom@reddish.stockport.sch.uk.
Regards
M Whoriskey
