Young Professionals have a number of fantastic online Work Experience opportunities coming up this October Half Term for students to get involved with.
Year 11 pupils have received a mock revision booklet, which includes their mock timetable, information regarding parents evening, subject specific revision materials and lots of resources to support them. Please encourage them to use this booklet to prepare for their mocks starting on the 23rd of November.
On Monday 17th October, pupils from Years 8, 9 and 10 attended the Green Climate Summit at The Lowry theatre, where they had the opportunity to hear from influential speakers and participate in a number of engaging workshops on various issues, including slow fashion, 3D printing using waste and Green Hydrogen.
The pupils were also lucky enough to discuss their thoughts on climate change with the Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham.
Parents' Forum is taking place on Tuesday 18th October 2022, 5.30-6.30pm.
Refreshments will be available in the canteen from 5.15pm.

Six of our dedicated Year 10's have entered the Manchester Airport Dragon Den Challenge this year with all proceeds from the business being donated to Francis House Children's Hospice. The students attended Manchester Airport on Monday 10th October, where they pitched their business idea and were awarded £200 to help fund the business.
The presentation was an excellent success, in which the Dragons commented on how well the business was planned and that they had a "Ruthless" product to make profit.

We have many activities and events taking place throughout the month of October in recognition and celebration of Black History Month, including a poetry competition, film screening, football session, treasure hunt and lecture by David Olusoga.
Year 7 Tutor Evening took place on Thursday 6th October 4-7pm and gave parents and carers an opportunity to meet and speak to their child's form tutor and discuss how they have found their first few weeks at Reddish Vale.
